Instead of focussing only on the functionality of the premises, SAQ wished foremost to create a mood adapted to a clientele visiting a pharmacy.

The 35 unit hotel is located in the Alentejo province overlooking the border between Spain and Portugal. Because of its remote loaction, has one of the darkest night skies in Europe which makes it the ideal candidate to be designated 'dark sky reserve', specifically allocated tourism.

Entering the panoramic hall on the fifth floor of the ‘Square Conference Center’, one’s first impression is blinding: the entire space seems to bathe in an overexposed white ambiance. Once the optical balance restored, the spectacular view offered upon downtown Brussels makes the visual effect complete.

A procession of structures stepping down with the existing landscape, positioned to take advantage of the year-round trade winds, encompass will eventually be built on 7 sites. 

SAQ took the decision to conceive this showroom not as a conventional showcase presenting the latest products but rather as an immersive space that allows the visitors to get inspired by fire and heat through all senses.
